Who delivers my painting?
International shipments are handled by DHL- world class couriers that offer great customer service as well as online tracking so you can check on the progress of your painting from the time of payment until you receive it in your home. They offer door to to door service and a signature is required at all times upon delivery.
Local shipments are handled by The Courier Guy The Courier guy offers quick reliable service at reasonable rates within South Africa.
How much does shipping cost?
Local and International Shipping is FREE of charge.
All Paintings delivered within South Africa are shipped on stretched canvas (wooden stretchers).
All International shipments are shipped as ROLLED UP CANVAS. Should you require to receive your paintings as stretched canvas on wooden stretchers, please contact us at admin@makiwagalleries.com for a quote on shipping and payment link.
What if the painting gets damaged in transit?
All local and international shipments are fully insured against damage or loss at no extra charge to you.
How long does shipping take? Orders are delivered in South Africa to your doorstep in 2 to 4 days for main urban areas and 6 days for outlying areas. International shipments take 6 to 10 days.
What Additional Charges can I expect to pay?
International clients can expect to pay Import Duties and/or Sales Tax or Vat depending on your country. We cannot guarantee the amounts payable as it varies from country to country and we would advise you to check with your Customs Authorities for accurate tax rates. DHL will contact you of any such additional charges to be paid to the courier company prior to delivery of your painting.
